The Bullard Banjo Has Now Been Restored!
The Bullard banjo has been in disrepair for approximately 135 years. There wasn't any money in our budget to restore the banjo, but thanks to donations from Tania Chandler, Drew Thurlow, and Suzanne McFarland, it has been authentically restored! The banjo was refurbished by banjo expert Jim Bollman, and can now be played for the first time in more than a century.

A song list was even found written on the back of the banjo dated 1877!
Learn more about the Bullard banjo on July 15th, when the Educational Programming Committee presents an educational event called "Ring the Banjar! : How the Banjo Became America's "Own" Musical Instrument." It will be presented by speaker and musical entertainer, Bob Webb.
