Walter Buckingham, a historical troubadour and story teller, performed at the Bullard Farm. According to Vicki Lee Francis of the Holliston Patch, Walter Buckingham, a Berkeley trained modern day bard, created an atmosphere reminiscent of 18th century New England.
Entertaining the group with sing-a-longs, epic tales, and vintage harmonies that filled the air, he was captivating and expressive. He share his love of the old, his 1880's Washburn parlor guitar, and with the new, having been inspired by the Beatles when he was a child.
His message to the children was clear, "Listen to your grandparents' stories," he said. "It's good to know the history and remember it."A truly memorable afternoon at the Bullard Memorial Farm was enjoyed by all.
